"When dragging files to another location on the same disk using Dolphin or the Plasma desktop, you can now have the system always move the files, rather than being asked what to do every time."

The default behavior of the file manager (always asking if you want to move or copy the files) might have been the only quirk that took some getting used to when I first started using KDE a few years ago. In the end I got used to it, even prefer it (you can hold shift or control while dragging to automatically move or copy), but it's nice that it's configurable now.

Switched both my work PC and personal PC over to Fedora KDE in the last year, and have loved every minute of it! Far better than GNOME, in my experience.

<@keb_> I also switched to KDE after trying Gnome and Xfce last year. It felt very mature in comparison and I was really impressed with the quality and stability overall. It had all the options I was looking for to customize the desktop experience to my liking and it felt like everything just worked. I'd say I now prefer KDE over Windows.

<@keb_> I used Fedora GNOME for 7 years and I didn't like the experience, so I migrated to KDE Neon from two years and never looked back again.

With the upcoming cutoff for Windows 10, I'm very please to have recently started experimenting using KDE Plasma. I tried it well over a decade ago and thought it was incredibly clunky. It's come a long ways, an I'm glad I'm going to have a smooth transition to running Linux full time in terms of GUI.

The biggest news on HN this week!

Kde is the only software project I've ever seen that gets better and better over time.

Looking forward to the per-workspace tiling options.
